12 Angry Men

Every so often you see a film that restores your faith in the cinema. And this was it. 12 Angry Men is brilliant, just brilliant. I've been a film fan for a long time, and I thought I'd seen all the really good ones. Then this came along. What other jewels are out still out there that I haven't seen?

I've seen it twice now, and I'm still blown away by the fact that it was almost entirely shot in one room, with an unchanging cast. The character development is just fantastic. And you know what blows me away more than anything? Until the last scene they don't even know each other's names.

If you only ever watch one film in your life, make it this one.
